Ground breaking has begun on the 65,000 square foot, 3-story complex.  This will be the new headquarters for the company. The scheduled completion is targeted for spring 2018 and will mark the 30th anniversary of the organization.  The new headquarters will employ over 100 people, and will add additional jobs after the building is complete.  The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Kelly Ranum says, “the new building is needed to continue to improve services to our Louisiana community. The new facility will consolidate two Metairie offices, provide improved services, reduce cost, and add critically needed space. This state of the art facility, will allow us to provide more services and faster turnaround time for donor families and recipients.

The building will also allow for future growth.” Ranum went on to say, “the USDA B&I loan provided LOPA with a great loan structure banks alone could not offer. Local bank sponsorship was a critical part of this loan. We were fortunate to have a local community bank step up and approve the USDA loan. This was a necessary step needed to close and fund the loan. Like the USDA, they saw our vision and understood the critical part we play in saving lives across Louisiana. Without the USDA loan guarantee, it would not have gotten done. We are now looking forward to completing the new headquarters and our employees are excited to call St. Tammany our home.”
