Paul W. StaggVice President of Nations Loan Services

Paul began his career in Mortgage Banking in 1974, after receiving his degree in Real Estate Economics from San Diego State University. Paul has over 40 years of banking and mortgage banking experience. He worked as a Mortgage Banker with Bank of New Orleans and First NBC Bank. In 1982 Paul created his on Mortgage Company and provided Rural Development Loans, FNMA loans, FHLMC loans, Residential and Multifamily developments and FHA/Veterans Administration loans.


Ryan MarcombReal Estate President

After graduating from Tulane University with a degree in finance, Ryan began his career in the corporate banking industry in which he worked for 8 years. He has since also obtained his Masters in Business Administration from University of New Orleans.  Ryan has been a licensed real estate agent in Louisiana since 2006 involved in both commercial and residential transactions of all sizes totaling over $100 million.


Neal Clark — President of Nations Mortgage

Neal Clark, is the President of Nations Mortgage, a division of Nations Loan Services, LLC. Neal began his career in Banking in 1985, after receiving his degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana Lafayette. He worked as a Vice President with Whitney and Hibernia National Bank in New Orleans. In 1997, Neal left banking to start a career in mortgage lending. He has experience in RURAL DEVELOPMENT LOANS, VETERAN ADMINSTATION LOANS, FHA LOANS and CONVENTIONAL LOANS. With his years of experience, Neal is able to guide home buyers through the home buying experience.


John Wesley Hayden  Vice President Nations Mortgage

John Wesley Hayden is dedicated to helping homebuyers realize their dream of homeownership. Though Wes is familiar with nearly all aspects of lending, he specializes in homeowner loans. He guides his clients through the entire mortgage process—from loan origination through closing—with a high level of service and care.

Throughout his career, he has conducted business throughout the Louisiana and Mississippi areas. Wes has the breadth of knowledge to find the best borrowing solution for qualified individuals.

Originally from Ponchatoula, LA, Wes obtained B.A. from Southeastern Louisiana University. He lives in Denham Springs, LA and enjoys spending time with his family, playing music, and being an active part of his local church.

Stacie’s concentration is in multi-family and high-end commercial development. Using her 20 years of finance experience and prior ownership of small businesses, she has developed what she calls ‘targeted underwriting’ that ensures clients are matched with the correct construction and/or permanent loans; “As a former business owner, I understand the frustration of obtaining capital.”

Stacie is the proud parent of two and donates time as Marketing Director for Ava’s Heart, a 501c3 in Beverly Hills, California.


Chase BrocatoMarketing

Chase is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where he got his undergraduate degree in Communications and Marketing. He started with Nations Loan Services as a marketing and processor of USDA B&I Loans, but now has moved his focus on Multi-Family lending. The outgoing personality and the compassion Chase displays makes him a natural fit for the Multi-Family realm and the financing structure that is tied to it. Chase is learning first hand from a professional that has been in the business for over 40 years to teach him the intricate in’s and out’s of the Multi-Family lending sector. Chase is currently working on obtaining his Real Estate License and becoming a part of the newly developed Nations Real Estate Consulting Team that was just formed.


Lane Brocato Social Media Manager

Lane Brocato is a recent graduate from The University of Southern Mississippi in Entertainment Management with a minor in Marketing. She is currently working as the Social Media Marketing for Nations Loan Services and internship program for a local New Orleans Publishing Company providing Social Media management on a daily and hourly basis.  She also provides community charity work for local animal shelters.

 


Rene Puissegur Credit Underwrite
Government/Commercial Loans

Mr. Puissegur is responsible for the review and underwriting of loans for Nations Loan Services. His primary duties include the analysis of financial statements; preparation of projections and pro-forma cash flow analyses.

Prior to joining Nations Loan Services, Mr. Puissegur spent over 23 years in banking and economic development.  Mr. Puissegur’s commercial banking experience includes being a loan officer, underwriting loans, portfolio management and administering loan operations for government guaranteed loans. His banking experience comes from working with First Commerce Corporation as a loan and relationship analyst, Chase as a small business relationship manager, BizCaptial as a commercial loan underwriter and portfolio manager and First Bank and Trust as the administrator of the bank’s government loan program. He has over 9 years of experience working as a consultant for various centers within the Louisiana Small Business Development Center(SBDC) system. While working with the SBDCs, he maintained a close working relationship with local lenders and various governmental economic development entities such as the SBA and the Louisiana Department of Economic Development. He regularly presented seminars ranging from starting a business to strategic planning.  Mr. Puissegur also has prior experience as a controller for companies in the field of residential construction, information technology and radiology.

Mr. Puissegur holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans.


Gary Lind Johnson Florida Region Marketing Director

Currently, Mr. Johnson is President of First Global Capital Partners Corp., an Ocoee, Florida, based financial broker & consulting company.  Mr. Johnson has 48+ years of varied business experience which he began in 1970 as an economic analyst at Pacific Power & Light Company, Portland, Oregon.  In 1972, he left Pacific Power & Light and acquired a struggling Gresham, Oregon, tool & die company.  After building Twisco, Inc. into one of the largest tool & die shops in the Pacific Northwest, the company used those capabilities to transition into manufacturing, starting Sierra Steel Guitars to produce an innovative pedal steel guitar for country & western music professionals.

Following sale of that business and time to complete his MBA at Portland State University, he entered the commercial real estate mortgage banking business in 1976 with Amfac Mortgage Corporation in Portland, Oregon.  He left Amfac in 1977 to form a private mortgage brokering company and operated as an independent mortgage broker until 1997.  In 1997, he formed a mortgage banking firm in partnership with Republic Bank, a national bank located in St. Petersburg, Florida, to do small balance commercial loans which would be pooled and securitized.  Later, he acquired the bank’s interest and formed First Credit Commercial Capital Corporation in 1999.  After raising capital in a Private Placement, First Credit Commercial Capital functioned as a direct Hard Money real estate lender until ceasing operations in 2008 as result of the commercial real estate market meltdown.

Additionally, over the years, as a real estate developer, his activities have included construction of subdivisions, apartments, hotels and timeshare properties and he was a principal in Cypress Hotel Management, an Orlando based hotel management company.  Prior to entering the mortgage business, Mr. Johnson spent three years as an officer and test parachutist in the United States Navy (1967-1969).  Mr. Johnson holds a BBA from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA in Finance from Portland State University.  He is a licensed Florida Real Estate Salesman, has been married 50+ years, has two grown children and 4 grandchildren.


Marcus Clavier Commercial and Residential Agent

Marcus Clavier has an extensive background in Residential and Commercial Real Estate Sales, and is an active Licensed Agent in Louisiana.  He also has over 9 years of residential lending and Business Brokerage. He owned and operated his own residential mortgage business for many years and was a successful agent with Remax Realty before joining the Nations Real Estate Consulting. Marcus will head up the Business Brokerage Division for Nations Real Estate.  He enjoys working with investors and business owners by assisting them with their real estate, business brokerage, and lending needs.


Stephen Dupree Commercial and Residential Lender

Stephen has over 18 years of experience in the real estate industry, having been broker and owner of his own real estate company for many years. The main  focus on Commercial Real Estate, Business Brokering and financing. Newly licensed as a Mortgage Loan Originator, Stephen will also provide residential lending for the Louisiana & Texas markets.  The main focus on commercial properties and Multi-family projects.  Stephen is a Louisiana native, when not working you can find Stephen at music festivals.


Kevin Petruska Loan Agent

Kevin was born & raised in Slidell and a graduate of Slidell High. Kevin went on to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance. After graduation, he became a branch manager of a consumer loan company in the Lafayette area. Wishing to be back in the St. Tammany area, Kevin moved onto the operations side of consumer lending to begin underwriting for a bank. Always having had a passion for real estate and serving others, Kevin shifted to the sales side bringing a skill set from his background in loans & mortgages. He is an active licensed Realtor in Louisiana and a Mortgage Loan Officer here at Nations Loan. With his experience & knowledge, Kevin enjoys working with his clients to assist them in all their real estate and loan needs.


Peter L. Hinkel Director of Marketing / Loan Officer

Peter Hinkel is the Marketing Director and a Loan Officer for the residential mortgage division and Commercial Marketing Director for Nations Loan Services specializing in small commercial loans from $500,000-$20,000,000.  Peter started his finance career in 1985 with a number of banks in the New Orleans area.   With his degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Mississippi Peter has worked for several banks in Tennessee, and Mississippi.  Peter’s is dedicated to making sure that each client receives the best in customer service.  Peter is able to guide borrowers  through the home and business purchasing and refinance.


Brandi Schexnayder   Mortgage Processor

Brandi is new to the mortgage loan industry with the majority of her experience being in personal banking. She joined our team in December of 2020 to learn the inner workings of the Mortgage Loan process. She will help guide you through the mortgage process by gathering necessary documents for the loan package, satisfying conditions upon review of the underwriter and communicating with other professionals such as attorneys, insurance agents, title companies and agents.
